The Centralized Equipment Pool offers a range of courses and workshops for professionals working in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) clinical practice.
CEP offers the following workshops periodically thought out the year. See the News and Events page for upcoming opportunities.
- Foundations of AAC: An Interprofessional Course – for new staff starting to work at an AAC clinic in Ontario. It is delivered through online and in-person sessions.
- Individual Authorizers Program for Communication Aids – for Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists. Participants must take a one-day workshop and an online Home Study Guide, to become an IA for Communication Aids with the Assistive Devices Program.
- Other workshops – Throughout the year, specific clinical and technical workshops are offered for continuing education based on current practice topics and new AAC technology available.
The CEP education program strives to provide the clinical community with opportunities to share expertise with each other and learn about new practices and technologies in the field of AAC.
